Hi everyone, here in this article I will share my personal experience with getting eyelash extensions and give you an honest review of the process and results so you can see the pros and cons of eyelash extensions.
What are Eyelash Extensions?
Eyelash extensions are individual synthetic or mink lashes that are applied to your natural lashes one by one using a special adhesive. The application process can take anywhere from 45 minutes to two hours depending on how many lashes you want applied. There is no need for mascara or other eye makeup as the purpose of lash extensions is to add length and volume to your natural lashes. Depending on the type of lash extension chosen, results can last up to 8 weeks before needing a touch-up appointment.
What Type Of Eyelash Extensions Did I Get?
I decided on getting mink lash extensions as they provide a softer and more natural look than synthetic ones. Mink also looks more realistic due to its curved shape which mimics the curve of real human eyelashes. Additionally, since mink is much lighter than synthetic fibers, it does not weigh down your natural lashes or cause any discomfort when worn for extended periods of time.
What Do They Do In An Eyelash Extension Procedure?
The procedure starts with a consultation where the technician will discuss with you what kind of look you’re trying to achieve and determine which type of lash extension would be best suited for you based on your eye shape, facial structure and lifestyle needs (such as if you’re an active person who works out often). After deciding on which type of extension would work best for you, the technician will then cleanse your eyes before starting the application process so that there isn’t any oil residue left behind which could affect how well the adhesive sticks onto your natural lashes. Once everything has been prepared they will then begin applying each individual lash onto each one of your natural lashes using tweezers while making sure not to put too much pressure so as not damage them in any way during application or removal later down the line if needed be.
Did It Hurt?
No! Not at all! During my session there was absolutely no pain involved whatsoever; just some mild discomfort when first having my eyes closed but nothing unbearable by any means – plus this feeling goes away almost immediately once application begins anyways so it doesn’t even matter much either way. So don’t be afraid, eyelash extensions don’t hurt at all!
What Is It Like Having Eyelash Extensions?
Having eyelash extensions has definitely changed my life – in only positive ways too! I feel like my eyes have become brighter now that I don’t need mascara anymore, nor do I ever have to worry about clumps forming throughout the day after reapplying multiple times, because these babies stay put all day long without me even needing to think about them at all! Plus, now that they give me such amazing length and volume, it feels like my overall appearance has improved dramatically, giving me an extra boost in confidence whenever going out anywhere, whether it be dinner dates or just running errands around town – everyone notices now whenever looking into my beautiful blue eyes thanks to these amazing little pieces of magic sitting right above them 🙂
How Much Did I Pay ?
I paid $150 at The Lash Loft NYC here in New York (highly recommended BTW!). This price included both the initial installation and 2 follow-up visits within a 4-week period afterward, which ensures proper maintenance upkeep necessary for maintaining the desired results achieved initially until the next appointment arrives again eventually too! Overall, it’s a great value considering the quality job performed and customer service provided by the friendly technicians employed here too – highly recommended 😀
Finally , Am I Happy With My Eyelash Extensions ?
Yes, definitely!! As mentioned previously already, these were worth every penny spent (and more). Although I initially felt a bit hesitant beforehand, I still went ahead anyway, taking a chance, hoping the end result would prove to be a worthwhile decision made instead – turns out it did exceed expectations far beyond what I originally anticipated!! It’s also important to note here regarding the care instructions received following appointments: make sure to avoid using oily products near the area around the eyes and invest in a good quality Lash Serum recommended by salon specialists to maintain the condition and extend the lifespan further between future visits again 😉 I will definitely be coming back soon to enjoy the same great experience found here 😀
